Toronto Raptors 2008 New Years Resolutions

 By Peter D. Walker

Once again its January 1st and here are the New Years Resolutions I'd like to see from the Toronto Raptors in 2008:

Andrea Bargnani: To focus on playing basketball at a high level and prove the cynics wrong

Maceo Baston: To prepare to be cap balast in Colangelo's next big deal

Chris Bosh: To cure his occassional bouts of butter fingers

Jose Calderon: To push the ball and not always pull up on 3 on 2 fast breaks

Carlos Delfino: To re-sign with the Raptors in the off season for a cap friendly amount

Juan Dixon: To focus on becoming a solid back-up point guard and not just a chucker

TJ Ford: To become healthy and play the rest of this season and the next completely injury free

Jorge Garbajosa: To never again put Spain ahead of the Raptors and to always listen to the doctors first

Joey Graham: To have the light come on that will transform his natural athleticism and physical skills into those of a solid NBA player

Kris Humphries: To continue to play hard and prove that he is one of the best young NBA players on a dollar by dollar basis

Jason Kapono: To shoot 60% beyond the arc

Darrick Martin: To enjoy his final ten days as a Toronto Raptors player

Jamario Moon: To never take a jump shot and to only slash to the rim, dunk the rock and clean the glass like a madman

Rasho Nesterovic: To play hard until he discovers he's the primary trading chip Bryan uses to upgrade the roster

Anthony Parker: To once again become the AP we saw last year

Sam Mitchell: To establish a solid rotation where players receive consistent minutes in the drive to the playoffs

Bryan Colangelo: To make a blockbuster deal that will bring the scoring, slashing, athletic wing player the Raptors need to become an elite team.

Chuck Swirsky: To retire the Salami & Cheese at the end of the 2007-08 season
